Privacy Policy


Instron respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal information you share with us. This policy describes how Instron collects and uses your personal information to provide services that you request or when you choose to provide us with your personal information for any other reason.

Information Collection
When you browse Instron’s website, you do so anonymously, unless you are logged in to your Instron account. Instron does not automatically collect personal information, including your email address. Like many other commercial websites, the Instron website may use standard technologies, such as cookies and other HTML tools, to collect information about how you use the site, to record that you opened an email marketing message, or to record what links you clicked in an email marketing message. Instron may record your IP address. The IP address is not linked to any personal information, unless you are logged in to your Instron account. If you are logged in, Instron may collect information about the resources you access on the website.
Personal information means any information that may be used to identify an individual, including, but not limited to, a first name, a last name, an email address, and a physical address. Instron collects personal information when you register for an Instron account, fill out a contact form, subscribe to a mailing list, or participate in an online survey.
From time to time, Instron receives personal information from business partners and vendors. Instron only uses such information if it has been collected in accordance with acceptable privacy practices consistent with this policy and applicable laws.

Information Use
Instron uses the information it collects from its website to fulfill your requests for products, services or information, to personalize your experience on the Instron website, to keep you up to date on the latest products, applications, updates and special offers, to better understand your needs and to provide you with better services.

Because Instron is a global company, your personal information may be shared with other Instron offices or subsidiaries around the world. All such entities are governed by this privacy policy. information we think you would like to receive either from Instron or its business

• When required by law or under urgent circumstances to protect Instron’s website and to
enforce the Instron terms of use.

Information Security
Your Instron account information is password-protected. At Instron, your personal information is stored on controlled servers with limited access. The Instron website uses industry-standard SSL encryption to protect your personal information during transmission. While Instron strives to protect your personal information, we can not ensure the security of the information you transmit to us. We urge you to take every precaution to protect your personal information on the Internet, like using a secure browser, using strong passwords and changing them often.

Your Ability to Access, Update, and Delete your Information
If you are registered on the Instron website, you can login to view and modify your personal information in ‘My Profile’. You can also delete your membership account by un-registering. When you un-register, we will retain some of your personal information in our files to resolve disputes, to troubleshoot problems, to enforce our terms of use, to respect your opt-out requests, to prevent fraud, and to comply with legal requirements.

Children and Privacy
Instron’s website does not target and does not intend to attract children under the age of 13. Instron does not knowingly solicit personal information from children under the age 13 or send them requests for personal information.

Links to other Websites
The Instron website contains links to other websites. Instron is not responsible for the privacy practices of such other websites. Instron encourages you to read the privacy policy of any website before submitting your personal information.

Changes to this Privacy Policy
Instron will amend this privacy policy from time to time. If Instron makes substantial changes in the way your personal information is used, Instron will publish an announcement on the home page of its website.
